Weight Bearing & Lunges

Writer's picture: Swati MittalSwati Mittal

We are working on our legs and core. By keeping the foot on step stool we are putting more weight on one foot and strengthening the foot by weight bearing, and by simultaneously asking her to catch the ball we are working on balance and core. We do this exercise for 10 ball catches and then switch legs.

Another one we are doing is the lunges. Lunges can help improve ankle range of motion, quadriceps strength, and dynamic balance. By asking her to catch the ball while in lunge we are challenging her balance and core. We do this for 10 ball count as well and then switch legs.
